Cut Tire 2
Cut a five inch opening out of a tire (cross section one side only) and have players attempt to drive the bat through the opening without touching either top or bottom of the cutout.
Teaches bat control.

The objective of this site is to post hitting drills, so as to enable the hitter to concentrate solely on one aspect (or part) of the total skill, until that part becomes ingrained into the reaction (or subconscious) of the hitter. Once the indiviual parts of the skill are ingrained, the player can then concentrate on the opposing pitcher and ball placement. Finally, Thanks goes to Coach Wasem for all the drills.
It's said that, in order for a motor skill to become learned (or subconscious) an athlete must perform the skill 10,000 times.
